Chad has been in the financial services industry since 2015 when he joined Paul Winkler, Inc. Chad graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1992 with a BSBA in Finance. Chad has a diverse work history ranging from retail, manufacturing production management and as a small business owner. Chad has always had a strong desire to help others reach their goals. Shortly after joining Paul’s team, Chad enrolled in The American College to pursue the education necessary to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Chad completed his course work and passed the CFP Board’s National Exam in 2017, which provides training in the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning, investments and retirement. In 2018, Chad completed his studies through the College for Financial Planning to earn the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC®). The CRPC helps financial planners and advisers define and create a “road map for retirement” for their clients. The study program to become a CRPC covers the entire retirement planning process, including meeting multiple financial objectives, sources of retirement income, personal savings, employer-sponsored retirement plans, income taxes, retirement cash flow, asset management, estate planning and more.Chad’s parents both had adult onset disabilities and he saw firsthand the lack of access to impartial financial advice and financial planning available to individuals with disabilities or special needs and the immediate and extended families who care for them. This created a strong desire to make financial planning available to the special needs community. In 2020, Chad completed his studies with The American College and was awarded the Chartered Special Needs Consultant® designation (ChSNC®). This is the only designation specifically designed to provide in depth knowledge of areas such as disability law, life insurance, healthcare issues, special needs trusts, social security benefits, estate planning and other issues unique to special needs clients and their caregivers.Chad has experience developing financial plans using higher level financial planning software programs such as Income Analyzer®, EMoney®, Social Security Analyzer® and uses these tools extensively while advising our clients. Chad is passionate about working with each client, no matter what stage of life, in order to assess a client’s immediate and long term objectives and goals. Chad will work together with clients to develop and monitor a financial plan that will help them take control of their financial lives and move towards achieving their goals through the coaching, planning and educational process.Chad and his wife Michelle were married in 2007 and reside in Gallatin, TN. Chad’s hobby is photography and he and Michelle enjoy traveling to the coast when time allows.
