Brian entered financial planning to help clients reach their goals, and he has an emphasis on teaching about taxes and investing. He started in the financial services industry in 2019 when he joined Paul Winkler, Inc. Brian graduated from Auburn University in 2009 with a BSBA in Accountancy. He has a broad work history including accounting for an automotive supplier, teaching high school chemistry, performing clinical microbiology research, attending medical school at University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and tutoring college students in math and science. Shortly after joining Paul’s team, Brian enrolled in The American College to pursue the education necessary to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Brian completed his course work and passed the CFP Board’s National Exam in 2020, which provides training in the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning, investments and retirement. With previous exposure to taxes in his accounting program, Brian is pursuing his Enrolled Agent (EA) credential though the IRS. This covers detailed taxation of individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, tax-exempt entities, IRS representation procedures, and tax planning. He will take his last SEE exam soon and apply for his EA. Once complete, he will be a source of tax planning in the Goodlettsville office. Brian plans to develop his expertise in tax planning, investing, behavioral finance, and retirement planning in the future. Brian resides in Franklin, KY. His hobbies are hiking, guitar, golf, cooking, and bowling.
