Our Business Continuity Amidst the Coronavirus

Paul Winkler, Inc. takes care to provide a secure environment to service you and your financial needs, and to offer you many ways to work with us during recent issues that have arisen such as the Nashville tornadoes and the current coronavirus.

We have been fortunate to experience minimal disruptions to our ten offices as a result of the tornadoes that hit last week. All disruptions were resolved quickly and did not affect our clients.

With regard to the current coronavirus issue, our firm has a business continuity plan in place to cover potential disruptions and protect our ability to service you effectively. While we have no reason to believe this current virus will affect our ability to service you, we are prepared.

First of all, our vital systems are stored and backed up in multiple locations through cloud-based technology. This not only protects our data but also enables us to access it from remote locations if it becomes necessary to close offices due to illness or travel restrictions. We also have back-up plans that cover all advisors, so we can continue servicing your accounts if an advisor becomes ill.

We have cybersecurity protections in place, and we recently completed third-party testing of our systems to ensure they were not vulnerable to hackers. Our systems passed with flying colors, and there were no vulnerabilities found.

We also can offer you email, telephone, or online meetings, rather than in-person meetings for those who are uncomfortable or unable to meet in person.

Schedule a call with us here.

We have instructed our staff to stay home if they show evidence of illness, and to take other reasonable precautions to protect themselves and others from transmitting COVID-19.

In addition, our various vendors, such as Matson Money and custodians have also implemented precautions to protect their business continuity in the event it becomes necessary.

We don’t anticipate having to use any of these contingencies, but you can rest assured that we are cognizant of the matter and are ready and able to implement business contingency plans in the event it becomes necessary or prudent.
